Born in Minnesota, in 1979. My mother was an art teacher, my father, a musician. My parents/step-parents have comfortably balanced their love of urban culture and wilderness, and have imparted that tendency upon me. As a result, I have found myself spending time in both extremes.
I have lived in Warsaw, Minneapolis, and San Diego as well as the Alaskan Bush, Antarctica and western Wyoming. My passions tend to bear some conflict as well, from a simultaneous love of hip-hop, jazz and symphonic music, to my various careers as a carpenter, naturalist and artist.
My work tends to reflect diverse passions as well, combining tight graphic elements often with naturalistic themes. I have attended University in Minnesota, England and California. I received a BFA in 2003 and my Post-Bac Graphic Design certificate from The Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2015.
