Born in Minnesota, in 1979.
Raised by a family of artists, educators, musicians and craftsmen.
My family has comfortably balanced their love of urban culture and wilderness, and have imparted that tendency upon me.
I have lived in urban areas, (Warsaw, Minneapolis, and San Diego) as well as the remote ( Alaskan Bush, Antarctica and western Wyoming). And I have enjoyed them all.
My passions tend to bear some conflict as well. From a simultaneous love of hip-hop, jazz and symphonic music; to my various careers as a carpenter, naturalist and artist/designer.
My work tends to reflect these disparate interests, combining
tight graphic elements often with naturalistic themes.
I have attended University in Minnesota, England and California.
I received a BFA in 2003 and my Post-Bac Graphic Design certificate from The Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2015.
Current Design Director at the San Diego Natural History Museum. Residing in Ocean Beach, Ca.
Mainly, I am a dad.
